I don't go there as often as I'd like to because of the distance. I live at the south end of Myrtle Beach. World of Beer is in North Myrtle Beach, and it's the north end of North Myrtle. It's 25 miles each way. If it was closer I'd probably go once a week instead of once or twice a month.

I'm on board. On the way back from the grocery store, I bought a bottle of rum. In this state we
have to do that as separate stores. I was dangerously low on rum.

Who's got the rum?

Our local high school athletic conference just announced it will be requiring basketball players and wrestlers to
wear masks while competing. I foresee a few problems with that. I can't see running up and down a court wearing a mask
that by design you can barely breathe through. Wrestlers have a hard time keeping head gear on much less a mask.

Morning BNers
I am amazed at the different state liquor laws.
As far as I know, you can buy about anything at any of our liquor stores except on Sundays and some holidays. Beer and wine at grocery stores but not before noon on Sunday.
Does OK still have the weird beer laws??

It used to be stupid here. You couldn't buy beer on Sundays till 1:00 PM, but you could cross the bridge onto the island, and buy it anytime. Now they have it that you can't buy beer until 7:00 AM on Sunday's......springparrot wrote: ↑December 9, 2020 12:41 pmMorning BNers

When I lived on Long Island, you couldn't buy beer on Sunday until after 12 noon. I don't know if that's still the law. Liquor stores weren't open on Sunday until about 15 years ago. When that law changed, if a liquor store opened on Sunday it had to close one other day. They weren't allowed to be open 7 days a week.springparrot wrote: ↑December 9, 2020 12:41 pmMorning BNers

I love coffee and I don't use much creamer but YUCK I can not drink it straight. My husband does and my daddy drank it that way too.
P.S. I am now happy I have creamer. Drinking coffee even though it is closer to beer thirty

I'm having a Secret Llama Rose Style Ale. Secret Llama is World of Beer's house beer. The description on the beer list says "hibiscus and passion fruit deliver a tart yet sweet flavor with pronounced citrus notes." It's pretty good.

Re: Where Everyone Knows Your Name WEDNESDAY@ the MSC
I went to the liquor store about an hour ago. Picked up two cases of beer, 8 bottles of wine, and 3 bottles of rum. I was wearing a jacket, obligatory face mask, sunglasses, and a hat. The clerk asked for my ID (I'm 61), barely glanced at it; never looked up at me, and rang up my purchase. No way in hell I looked identifiable with my entire head and face covered anyway.
I thanked her and said "Woohoo! Party back at the college dorms tonight!"
Covid-19 laws must be a great time to buy liquor if you are underage.
