Good Morning BN'ers!
Supposedly we can thank french inventor Lew Wallace for coming up with the "Snooze" button. I've verrry rarely used it over the years, I just set my alarm for the time I want to get up. Or I use my inner clock & don't set an alarm at all.
My daughter was notified that my Grandson (the CC runner) was exposed to a positive tested Covid person at school last Friday. So he's on 14 day quarantine I guess. He's hasn't had any symptoms at this time, so thats good.
Enjoy your Oct. 15th pholks!!
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Snooze button
Work
Huh? What's all that.
It is nice to be able to sleep when and how long I want to. Of course, my days and nights are so screwed up....
Another Astros game this afternoon....gotta wait and see which team shows up.
A cooler day today after it got to about 82°F yesterday I guess.
Oh well back into the fray. As some will know I work as a Technical Author/Illustrator. Apparently, I can now add "Draughtsman" to that.
The conversation has been along the lines of:
Supervisor: "You do illustrations, don't you?"
Me: "Yes, part time."
S: "Oh good we need a heap of CAD drawings done"
M: "I am not a draughtsman or tracer, I am an illustrator, different tools, different process"
S: "You've used CAD though"
M: "In a previous career, more than a decade ago"
S: "I'll get you the software"
About $20,000 later I start trying to remember how to use CAD...
(Let me just say that we actually have an entire drafting department).
Always be yourself
Unless you can be Batman
Then always be Batman

Ha! Sounds like you are an unwilling volunteer, or in other words, you got DRAFTED.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
Hey all! Thursday is almost over and that's fine with me. It was a beautiful day but since we had so many network issues yesterday I was so far behind in reviewing a bazillion emails and updating the criminal data base (well, it seemed like a bazillion). Anyway -- I decided to leave at lunch and work from home for a few hours.
Kevin & I also dismantled my wooden raised herb/veggie bed (this was sad as it really means summer has come to an end).
We hit-up a local amish-owned store for some finely ground pink himalayan salt so we can get 15 lbs of sauerkraut started this weekend. (up a few pounds from last year).
This weekend we will have a very small family celebration of our daughter's 30th birthday (YIKES! I swear I was only 5 when she was born [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif] )
