Does a chocolate martini count while listening to my favorite singing duo at Disney??
Now that you mention it, I did have a martini once. There was a place in NYC that had a chocolate martini, it was a regular martini with cocoa powder sprinkled on top.
These were made with Godiva liquor.

Actually, it was Jason and BIlly or Greg at Port Orleans.
Love hearing those guys after a long day in the parks
But, they are doing something different now.
Since covid, they are playing from Jason's porch on Sun.

Except for a rain shower that lasted about 20-25 minutes this afternoon, we had a beautiful day. It's very overcast now and some really dark clouds are rolling in from the west. ☁ 🌂

Nice/easy dinner of salad & spaghetti for dinner. Sauce is simmering away til I'm ready to cook the noodles.

Had my coffee, picked up around the house, did laundry & went to the grocery store earlier. I also cancelled my Sept Denver flight  which seemed to go really easily. I'll keep an eye on my Amex card to ensure it gets processed.

Today is my last day of this month's vaca so that's sad too & it's been cloudy with storms coming later which adds to my 'ugh' attitude

Anyway, I'll take a martini with the flip flops I always wear please & thank you!

Happy Fri y'all!!
Fins crossed for you.

We cancelled our April vacation and were really pleased at how nicely and quickly our refunds were issued from the airline and the resort. They were all super pleasant and easy to deal with and we had all the refunds - not credits to use at a future date, actual refunds - within three business days. And that was all on Amex, so maybe that's why they took care of us.

Hi there! We were to have a nice day before a week of storms, so I fished a few hours. Anne called to tell me a shower past by our house. I was 12 miles east. The beautiful sky had a rumble of thunder over a hill. I started downriver and left shortly after. It rained a little on the way home. I pulled up the weather map and there are storms all around me.
I dodged the bullet today.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

We're heading out to a little pizza joint near here. It's a beautiful night and they have a nice big deck looking over the water.

And it is wine-thirty, after a very long work week. 8)

Saturday has dawned, I think. We have a bit of a pea-soup fog here this morning. Apparently Sydney is under a road weather alert due to the fog.

We are off to see the framing people to work out how to frame up all of the paintings we have bought over the last few years from islander artists.

Somehow we moved from buying stupid little mementos to seeking out local artists to do some paintings for us. So far we have paintings from New Caledonia, Haiti, Cook Islands, Australia(!) and a whole bunch from Vanuatu.

For BP's pleasure and edification I will try and post a few images soon.

Flight was through Southwest. Got an email yest that they changed my itinerary (flight was now sched to leave lil over an hour earlier). I'm a procrastinator so I hadn't gotten around to canceling it yet which I think worked in my favor this time. I always feel better speaking w someone so I called them. Rep initially cancelled it & said I would have a voucher valid til Sept 2022 then I mentioned that THEY changed itinerary & she apologized & said that I would be refunded. Also got an email that they will be refunding my early check in.
I booked everything w Amex too so if there is an issue, I will just challenge it & let them handle things. I've only had to do it a few times but they have been good about it & it's always come out in my favor 8)

Framing will cost more than it cost to commission the paintings. Which seems stupid but that's how it is.

I have a back up running at the moment, so when that finishes I'll get some images...

Good afternoon BN. Friday happy hour is complete, boat shoes and beer.

Tomorrow I'm off to the boat to try to repair the motor. Yeah, I know it's a sailboat but I still need a motor to get in and out of the marina.

Had a busy day at the shop today, but we were able to get everything done for tomorrow's deliveries and we managed to have a margarita before we left 😁
Just hoping that since we have 2 drivers for tomorrow, that things go smoothly!
My house is a mess and the big dogs need brushed, but it will have to wait until after work tomorrow. The 2 daughters who live locally and I are taking Bryan out for lunch Sunday for Father's day so, I'll be busy getting things done here after I get home from work tomorrow.
Tonight my feet are in my slippers as I am enjoying another margarita!

Yikes! I'm guessing it's something you think you can fix on your own?

I hope so, had it in the shop last fall for 3 months, said they fixed it but still having the same problem. I'll replace the carb tomorrow and if that doesn't fix it back to the shop it goes, probably as a trade in for a new motor. I have almost as much in repairs as it cost new 13 years ago.

FYI - a Martini doesn't always have to be gin or vodka with olives and such. They can be (as Molly mentioned) ones that are flavored with other things. :) A Cosmopolitan is a type of martini, and I love them. I also like the 'dry/dirty' ones with vodka and olives. And I like espresso/chocolate ones. :)

E and went to another local place that has opened up in the last couple of weeks that we've been to before. "Berg Haus". Great drinks and good bar food.

They have a Double IPA beer from our favorite brewery on tap, and my favorite Whispering Angel rose wine. We had cheese curds, cheese sticks, tater tots with Parmesan cheese. Typical bar food, but very good.

And I still won't be wearing flip flops. :P ( they are uncomfortable/hurt my feet, can't stand the sound, and most people should never show their feet).
