We never got to the stage where wearing masks was a thing, although some folk choose to.
On Saturday while out shopping I started watching those who were wearing masks. They were mostly the elderly or folk of Asian heritage. (We have a rather large population of Asians around here, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese and more - it means we have (had?) many many excellent restaurants!!!).
What I noticed is that almost every single person was either not wearing the mask correctly or they kept touching the mask. Either way, it defeats the purpose and cost of the mask.
Unfortunately, I think that it is also leading to a false sense of security and people will let their guard down.
