Good morning BN. Happy April Fools Day. We could all use some foolishness today.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning, Bill. My local news station that I watch in the morning took a poll of whether to 'celebrate' the day. Most said no. I'd say don't joke that you are sick, but we all could use a lot of laughter.

70's today, snow tomorrow. Off to that work place. Have a good one.

I started my morning off with coffee, a piece of Zucchini Bread and a video chat with my grandbabies 😍 It's just the medicine I needed!
Not much on my agenda today, just sweeping up the hair balls that are floating around and I need to wash the dogs dishes and the towels we use to wipe Beacon's mouth with Everytime he gets a drink😒
Happy Hump April Fool's Day pholks!

Good morning, Day 3 of home schooling.. kids love it.. no distractions and everything is laid out for them nicely. Rule is school work before anything else.. (except for lunch). They are usually done before 11 am anyway. The new school text has backed off the reopen until May 1st. Last day was supposed to be around the 20th of May so I doubt they'll go back at all. 8)

The governor issued another executive order yesterday, all non essential businesses have to close starting today. Among the businesses considered non essential are barber shops and hair salons. I guess I'll have to let my hair grow again.

The 6th annual Carolina Country Music Festival is this year. The first 5 were all in June and this year's was supposed to be in June. The organizers announced this morning that it's been rescheduled for September. In 2018 we had Hurricane Florence in September. Last year we had Hurricane Dorian in September. I'm glad I wasn't planning on going.

Yesterday, they gave the latest stats for the cases in my county.

46 confirmed.

55% community spread
39% from travel
6% other

They didn't define other. Would other be roommates? or no clue how they got it? I thought both of those might be under the community spread.

We are having a problem with the college kids still having parties in their houses/apartments. Local authorities have said if see one going on, call them in. Most of the community spread cases are in the college age bracket.
I must be wishing on someone else's star....

Has anybody else noticed that the Robo Calls have come to a stand still?

i did receive one yesterday, and it was a local number so i decided that because i hadn't had one in awhile, that i would answer. Some dude butchered my name and asked how i was doing today? I replied by saying that my fever finally broke, i am freezing, and can't smell a damn thing. Then coughed twice and shared that i just seen a news report indicating that the Corona virus can be transmitted thru a cell phone......

Afternoon BNers

Ryan walked in our little park behind the houses. There wasn't anyone else there which was weird. At another entrance, he found a sign.
PARK CLOSED!!!!!
So much for getting outside.

A genuine question - How are you all in the US really doing?

Over here in Oz we keep seeing headlines about the US and imminent disaster. Today on our national broadcasters main news site, headline number 1 was "Coronavirus update: US cases hit 180,000 as total deaths pass 3,600".

One of the major papers went with: "The US is on a trajectory similar to hard-hit Italy, Pence says".

These headlines do not fill me with joy but I do wonder how much is click-bait and how much is real.

Oh and in response to today's subject, the Oz gubbermint pretty much banned April Fools japes - apparently this is not the time for such tom-foolery.

I disagree, it is exactly the time we need a little light-hearted distraction.

Afternoon BN.

Spent most of yesterday dozing on the couch. Today I got my truck inspected & hit the grocery store for supplies. Got most of them, rest I guess weren't really needed. I normally stock up on things like toilet paper, etc when there is a sale or I have a coupon so, for now, I'm good.
Made sure I stocked up on alcohol because I will make due without toilet paper, rum however, is another story!

I was scheduled tmrw & Fri but took off a while ago so maybe the pups will get a bath then

4 new cases in our zip code and 2 deaths. Both deaths were from an assisted living in the Woodlands. 😥
