Given the fact that Buffett never played Summerfest, what do we think the chances are of an Alpine show in August?

I can't imagine that Alpine would really open for only 2 shows this summer

Just got an email from Summerfest.

A group named AJR is now headlining Summerfest on July 6th.

Wrigley just announced another concert on 8/25. Very well possible Buffett plays 8/26, unfortunately

That would indicate that musicians sign multiple different contracts in hopes of booking a show on a specific date.

Wrigley has no concerts announced for July so far. Pine Knob 7/25 > Riverbend 7/27 > Wrigley/Alpine 7/29 would roughly match up with the order/timeframe of recent tours. You can cross DMB and most likely Dead and Co. off the list with DMB playing Summerfest and The Dead playing 2 nights at Wrigley in June
