Quick question guys...
Is the spoken intro to The Prince of Tides ("the sun, red and enormous...") an actual excerpt from the novel or is it an original from Jimmy himself? I've Googled the crap out of it and can't find the excerpt from the book. One source even says it's a quote from another Conroy ...

Opinions please
I'm making one of those sign posts for my deck that you see with the individual planks of wood with the name of a place followed by the miles to get there and I was looking for some opinions on "Buffett-esque" locations to put on some of them. Some are pretty obvious (Key West, Margaritaville, St ...

Remittance man question
Who or what is a "remittance man"? I know what the definition of "remittance" is but I'm embarrassed to say that I don't understand how that applies to the song. Can anyone help? Any thoughts or theories?

Re: Done with Jones Beach
I have actually heard of people bringing along a designated person to just stay in the lot and watch their stuff during the concert. Just supply them with booze and a comfy lawn chair and they do the rest. Lots of people just go to the tailgate anyway. Just a suggestion...

Re: Charleston M'ville
It wouldn't surprise me if it did. I never saw much of a crowd any time I went in there. Plus, there is no restaurant attached to it. Frankly, I'm kinda surprised it lasted this long. The one in MB is probably taking a lot of it's business.

Actually, Tiki, what you said was kinda what I was trying to say (just not as successful) The older stuff is what I listen to the most where as anything past 2000 rarely gets put into rotation.

I may get a lot of flack from this but here goes....

I'm David, I live in S.Carolina (centrally located). I'm a 20 year full-time firefighter. I also am a sports photographer for that inevitable part-time income. My favorite local beach is Folly beach in Charleston. I golf, kayak, camp out, ride bikes.....generally anything that gets me outdoors. I've ...

I'd kill to hear some new stuff with the old sound. More steel drums, harmonica and less whiny guitar.

I could swear I heard something on RM about a new album. Am I going crazy? Pretty sure they're not talking about Encores. Just curious.
