Re: Jimmy appears from inside a huge, red book. Remember?

We were talking about that last night in Charlotte. I think it was around 1997 - 1998 - Domino College Tour, he came out of a large "yearbook" and they brought folks up on the stage who played the part of notable figures from Jimmy's past like his high school girl friend.

When you name your children Cameron and Delaney (not mine but a friend)

When the song you pick for the father daughter dance at your daughter's wedding is "little Miss Magic"

When you offer quotes from your favorite philosopher and they're all lines from Buffett songs!

Re: Have You Seen Jimmy Perform "God's Own Drunk" in Person?

Yep, final encore last year in Charlotte. God's Own Drunk was the first song (other than the couple played on the radio) that I was introduced to in 1978 - from that point on I was hooked! :pirate:

Re: Songs Buffett Needs to Retire From the Live Shows

I agree there are certain songs he has to play, such as "Fins", and the national anthem of the parrothead nation - but it sure was nice when he stopped playing "Why Don't We Get Drunk....." a few years ago. The problem with the fixed list of "have to plays" is that you miss out on SO many other ...

A1A on vinyl whenever it came out. It's still my favorite - especially side 2 for those of you old enough to remember when albums had "SIDES" and you had to get up and flip the record over on the turn table,

Re: Advice on Charlotte show

Three or four years ago they tried to get real strict and didn't open the gates to the lots until 5:00. As a result they had a traffic jam that went for 5 miles back to I-85 and had thousands of vehicles like us that pulled off on both sides of the road outside the lots and set up grills, tents, etc ...

Re: Jimmy Buffett Tickets Just Released! @ 7pm Raleigh/Charlotte

After 20 minutes of error messges I finally got in to the Charlotte ticket page to receive a message that the event was SOLD OUT! I went back a half hour later and got 2 tickets in Section 1 on the 10th row. Something is seriously wrong with their system [smilie=asa.gif]

Re: Which NC venue is better???

Been to both MANY times - Raleigh is better. The parking lots open earlier, more open space for tailgating, more woods, easier entry and exiting. The arenas are virtually twins so the ammenities make the difference. However, that being said, I paln to be at both! :pirate:

Thanks! She is enjoying being the only one in our family of having this honor. When the tickets go on sale and they are disappearing by the hundreds per second, who is going to stop to check if they are in a "NO ALCOHOL" zone. I mean this isn't Hannah Montanna!

FAMILY SECTION SEATING

Has anyone else ever heard of there being a "Family Section" in the reserved seats? For the Raleigh show, when tickets went on sale we went for the best available option and when the tickets came they were marked "Family Section, No Alcohol Permitted"!! I thought it must be some kind of mistake but ...

I think they were about $30.00 I got #177/1000 in Charlotte. Thank goodness they had the booth in the parking lot so I didn't have to worry with it during the show.
